Back to School with Crayola #MyBlogSpark

I love Crayola products.  I loved them as a child and I now love them as a mom and a full time teacher.  I find the crayons last longer and they have lots of options for your creative needs.

That’s why I’m happy to share some fun new Crayola products with you that will give you that extra pizazz this back to school season!

Bring colorful ideas to life…not just on paper! The Crayola Marker collection and Dry Erase Products allow children to express themselves and show off their school spirit.

  • Kids can add their own artwork on backpacks or create wild, brightly colored designs on a new pair of jeans or a t-shirt with Crayola Bright Fabric Markers. The bright colors will “pop” off dark fabrics, showing kids creations in a whole new light!
  • Get the whole team pumped up this season with Crayola Window Mega Markersand Crystal Effects Window Markers. The oversized Window Mega Markers come in a special school color assortment. Decorate the family minivan for the first big game of the season using the broad, brilliantly colored strokes; kids can create amazing effects with Crystal Effects Window Markers on windows that dry to bright, crystalized colors. Both markers are completely washable and designed to work on all glass surfaces.
  • Keep busy family schedules organized as the new school year starts with Crayola’s black and white Dual-Sided Dry-Erase Board Set. The board provides twice the dry-erase drawing fun and organization for kids and families. Two surfaces double the drawing area and make it more fun for kids to play tic-tac-toe and word games, practice spelling words and math problems or leave a message for mom. The board comes with a pack of eight Crayola Washable Dry-Erase Bright Crayons. Colors cleanly and easily wipe off each side for endless creative play. The set also includes a machine-washable “E-Z erase” cloth and the classic Crayola built-in crayon sharpener.

Take note-taking or study sessions up a notch with the multitude of colors in the Wild Notes Line.

  • Combine fun and learning with Crayola’s Wild Notes Index Cards.  Kids can make presentation notes or flash cards with different colors using just one pen. The convenient spiral-binding at the top allows for easy flipping and the perforated cards allow for clean tear-out.
  •  Writing special notes to friends can be fun, but writing on peel n’ stick paper with surprising colors on each note is even more exciting. Crayola’s Wild Notes Sticky Notes use one unique pen for kids to colorfully leave messages with fun shapes anywhere for themselves or for a friend. The sticky notes are the perfect size for quick reminders
  • Kids will love doing their homework this year with Crayola’s Wild Notes 1 Subject Notebook.  Watch as amazing colors change on each page with the Wild Notes pen. Convenient spiral-binding allows for easy flipping.

One lucky Raising Three Savvy Ladies reader will win a Back to School Crayola Pack!

So happy to kick off the holiday season with @macy So happy to kick off the holiday season with @macys and Santa! Last night, we took the train into the city to preview #Macys #Santaland I have to say it was quite magical. Although my youngest was 12, Santa was able to connect to her and put us all in the holiday spirit.

I believe. I believe….

My mom also came with us. We started talking and I think it was almost 40 years ago that she took us to visit Santa at Macys. I was so happy to visit Santa with her and my youngest for a three generation experience.

Don’t forget to check out the beautiful window displays as you enjoy all of #NYC during the holidays!

#ad Mental health isn’t talked about enough, but #ad Mental health isn’t talked about enough, but 1 in 5 adults suffer from mental illness and disorders today.

Let’s reduce the stigma by opening up the conversation in the classroom and at home.
As a teacher and a mom of 3, I know how important it is to be there and be a good listener.

Conversations are super important. It’s never too early (or too late) to have these conversations with your students or your own children.

Operation Conversation is a check-in on kids’ mental health. When we start simple habits of conversations, we can learn about concerns or problems our students are dealing with, help them problem solve, and build their confidence for life’s difficult moments.

Teachers can help to destigmatize mental health starting in their own classrooms by talking to their students about mental health using a free deck of conversation starter cards. Parents can also use these cards to support good conversations while at home. I know as a mom, I can use all the help I can get.

#Giveaway Alert!
I have 5 decks of Conversation Starter Decks of cards to give away to 5 lucky winners to help you get the conversation flowing!

To enter:
1. Comment on this post as to why you would love the conversation starter deck of cards.
 2. Follow @OnOurSleevesOfficial
3. Follow me @SavvyMomNY I will pick the winners after 10pm on 11/22

New York state has so many wonderful places to be New York state has so many wonderful places to be a part of . From the bright lights of NYC, to quiet places of respite in its parks and wooded areas. Time to walk, hike and reflect. Being active and busy is something that I hope my teens learn from and something we can do together to enjoy all the beauty and nature it has to offer while keeping NY tobacco free. Did you know that our oldest generation of smokers are now dying? After them, you have me and a very large group of people who do not smoke at all. So, who’s next? Instead of taking cigarettes off the shelves, the tobacco industry views today’s teens as tomorrow’s customers, using menthol-flavored products to attract and addict kids – and it’s working. More than half (54%) of youth who smoke (ages 12-17 years) use menthol cigarettes. making it easier for kids to start and harder for them to quit. Menthol is not JUST a flavor, it attracts and addicts kids As a teen mom, I am sharing this so we can all take action! Learn more about the impact of Big Tobacco’s manipulative tactics on our communities and how you can take action to help end this injustice. Let’s keep our kids enjoying the wonderful things our state has to offer. Link in bio #NotJustMenthol #TobaccoFreeNYS #ad @tobaccofreenys
