Cynthia Nixon shares her story of living with Rosacea. As I get older, eek!, there are times when my skin seems extra sensitive or red especially on my cheeks. I have heard of rosacea but didn’t really know the types of rosacea or exact symptoms.
You too may ask, what exactly is Rosacea? Do I have it?

Rosacea is a vascular condition believed to be caused by inflammation with symptoms that include facial redness, pimples and irritation. But the real damage often lies underneath the skin with a person’s self esteem. Because rosacea affects the face, people with this condition can often experience embarrassment and depression.
RosaceaFacts delivers educational information through the National Rosacea Society and Galderma Laboratories.
Watching this Public Service Announcement, I learned what rosacea looks like and what are the triggers that can make it worse.

Thanks for sharing this post! Honestly, I had no idea what the symptoms were for rosacea before watching that video. Very helpful post – thank you!
I didn’t know anything about it either. I wonder if my dad has rosacea though. His face is ALWAYS red and he drinks very little. I’ve never asked him about it before.
I have two good friends that have rosacea. They have shared with me how taking photos can be difficult, finding good makeup, and dealing with flare ups can be challenging both on the inside and outside. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for sharing this. I have very minor rosacea, but so did my mother at my age. Now she battles with it daily.
thanks for sharing and for bringing this out in the public eye. I’ve been dealing with Rosacea for as long as I can remember… constantly trying to explain it when people would comment on how blotchy I look.
