I’m a real mom and yes, I love to eat. I think the title is what got me interested in checking this book out in the first place. As we think about resolutions and work on sticking to them, Beth Aldrich’s new book,Real Moms Love to Eat offers practical advice and simple steps to help you work towards your fitness goals and losing weight in a healthy way.
Increasing water intake is one of many ways to lose weight. I know that this reminder sounds simple but it is so important. (And one that I have not been following. But that is so 2011. Here is to the new me in 2012) Some new ideas for me include drinking a “green smoothie”. I am still in the process of getting the ingredients for this new morning drink, so like a real mom, I will be improvising on Week 1.
Each week for 10 weeks, Beth asks us to do five things. Some things even include chocolate. When you are reading the book and figuring out how you are going to achieve your goal, you feel as if you are having a conversation with a friend. I like that. Just like having a partner on the journey.
This week, I will be drinking my water and yes, eating my chocolate as I venture down the road to weight loss.
Beth will be in Brooklyn this Tuesday, January 3 to promote the release of Real Moms Love to Eat. She will be at The BookMark Shoppe located at 8415 3rd Ave in Brooklyn from 7 – 8pm. For other book tour stops, please visit her website.
I was not compensated for this post. I did receive a digital copy for review and a bag of goodies from her sponsors for being a Food Affairiate.
