The Muppets – it is what I grew up with. Now, I can share them with my girls.
I don’t know who enjoyed it more, me or them. I liked how they incorporated the new with the old. Miss Piggy is oh so stylish. It just makes you warm inside when Kermit and Piggy reunite and sing “The Rainbow Connection” to raise the money for Muppet Studios. Just hearing the music again took me back to being in pajamas as an 8 year old watching The Muppets before going to bed. The days before taping, the days before DVR…
A great way to spend Thanksgiving weekend with the family. I think 5 and up would be appropriate ages for children to enjoy.
Here is a quick synopsis shared by Disney:
When Walter, the world’s biggest Muppet fan, his brother Gary (Jason Segel) and Gary’s girlfriend Mary (Amy Adams) discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) to raze the Muppet Theater, they help Kermit reunite the Muppets to stage a telethon and raise the $10 million needed to save the theater.
Two thumbs up in my book!
And that’s all I have to say about it, manamenah, …….manamenah!
They bring back memories for me, too. My siblings and I loved watching The Muppets growing up!
My kids absolutely loved this movie.
