Photography Family Travel Tips were shared at the Momtrends Travel event by Bellamy Blue Photography.
When listening to the great tips, I really thought they were speaking to me. How do they know that I need these kind of reminders? It turns out, there are others like me who could benefit from this great advice.
- Be prepared – Don’t forget extra batteries, chargers, memory cards, and card readers. I know that this simple reminder will keep you ready to go and save you from spending money on unnecessary purchases of said items

- Perspective – get real low with a monument or get high depending on what you are taking a picture of
Here are some great ideas mentioned by Bellamy Blue to support kids with photography fun:
- Allow for kids perspective photos– take detail photos “it’s more about the moment than the place”
- Vtech camera – two eye viewing makes it easier for younger kids to take pictures
- Lomography Spinner- 360 degrees camera – a fun tool to use with kid
- 360 Panorama app on iPhone
- use video and audio on digital cameras – great multimedia memories
- Purchase a less expensive disposable digital cameras so that kids can use and you will not need to worry if they lose it
I am going to try some of these out as we venture here and there this summer. I really like the idea of purchasing a disposable digital camera for kids. Am I the only one who might have sent my 7 year old with my camera and card full of 1000s of pics on a field trip? Never again!
