The Best Mother’s Day gifts are not store-bought.
Those are nice too of course, but when your second grader writes you a poem and your preschooler does beautiful artwork, how can you not tear up?

Not only is it the gift, but it is the look on their face when they give it to you. The children do amazing work, but I would also like to pay tribute to the teachers who make these gifts possible. These handmade gifts are created in the classroom. Acrostic poems are taught so that I will have poetry to treasure forever. Pictures are taken and papers are cut so that I will always have a flower memory.
What did you receive this Mother’s Day?
So great to meet you over the weekend at BBC!
We are celebrating Mother's Day this coming weekend because I spent most of the day traveling and didn't get home till after Cal went to bed. However, the tradition in our home is a homemade crown for Mother's Day so I'm def looking forward to that!
this is so sweet, homemade mother's day gifts are the absolute best!
A crown! I love that idea! Still have to visit the blogs of all my new BBC friends.
Great to meet you at BBCBOS!
Lizzie, my 5yo, was just tickled to bits to give me her gift. She planted a flower seed and decorated the pot it's in. Sophia, my 2.5yo, was also excited to give me hers – a picture of her glued to paper that she decorated and the teacher laminated. I loved their faces when they gave me their gifts!
Awesome!
