Sweet Tweets by Bazooka Candy Brands offers a cute and yummy way to stay connected throughout the busy day. My oldest two Savvy Ladies and I were invited by Rolemommy to TasteBuds in NYC to learn about SweetTweets and how to incorporate the little candy love note into a nutritious lunch.

The girls soon learned that they were going to be preparing there own lunch. As a working mom, the prospects of them learning how to make lunch was truly a present for me. If you are like me, making lunch can become tedious and you often can get stuck in a rut when thinking about what to offer. (Kudos to SavvyDad who is the best lunchmaker in town, wink,wink; I am very lucky to have a husband who knows how to cook.)

Today, the girls would be using their culinary skills to create a Bento Box lunch with “Sandwich Sushi”. They started with a bed of lettuce, followed by a fruit kebab. Did you know that you should eat all the colors of the rainbow for maximum nutrition? Using favorites such as turkey, carrot shavings, cucumbers, and tuna, they used one slice of whole wheat bread to roll it all together into their own sandwich sushi. With help, they cut the roll and arranged it in their Bento box. It was then my turn to write a Sweet Tweet to top off their healthy lunch with a little sweet love note!
