Ruckus Media Group was my first experience sharing apps on my iPhone with my children. I was new to having the phone so I welcomed learning about what it had to offer for my girls too. I was given the following apps to review and share my experiences:
The Velveteen Rabbit
The first three are a part of the Rabbit Ears Library. They are childhood classics told by well-known celebrities. My girls enjoyed the story of Johnny Appleseed as they were familiar with it from school. We all sat together and fell in love with Meryl Streep narrating The Velveteen Rabbit for us.
Apps can also be interactive tools that help a young reader focus and create an enjoyable fun experience. Andrew Answers fits this category. The story is comical and when Andrew travels, you move your phone to get him through the maze. My 4 year old thinks this is a lot of fun and has mastered getting Andrew to all the places he needs to go.
