I had the opportunity to interview celebrity hair stylist Jill Crosby for her tips and tricks for Thicker, Fuller, Hair.
Look for styles that create density and the illusion of weight. Sometimes this may mean cutting away scraggly ends that dont serve a real style . Cutting away any amount of hair can be very emotional for a women with thinning hair , however once the have a great cut , they never go back. As you can see, a great haircut is one way to achieve thicker fuller hair. My sister, Lauren, recently had her hair styled and photo taken by Susie Mckeown Photography. To me, this is an example of a great style that Jill mentions above.

I have very fine hair and I must wear my hair at chin length because it gives it more body. A good hair cut is a must for getting a fuller hair look and using volume shampoos and volume mousse really helps me look like I have thick hair when it is thinning.

I keep my thinning hair shorter and avoid ponytails that can pull hair out.
I have my hair cut short and in layers. I have lots of places you can see my scalp. I don’t like my hair anymore.
My hair styling tip is to use a mousse to make your hair appear thicker than it is.
Keep it conditioned.

My hair is drastically thinning and I like to use products to get that added volume in combination with a good cut.
I do not have any hair tips. My hair is very thin and I can’t do anything with it. I don’t even leave the house now because my hair is falling out. I want to try this to see if it can help.
My only tip would be to keep it conditioned.
With the amount of hair I’m losing every time I shower – this post was super helpful – thanks!
Love the hair mousse and thickening sprays tip. I’ve cut my hair a few times. I love layers.
This is so great to know about! Thank you for the detailed info! Hair loss has been a major issue for me since being diagnosed with thyroid issues.
My favorite hair styling tip to myself is, do not blow dry my hair upside down. I did that today and ended up looking like I was electrocuted.
Getting a trim every four weeks really helps it stay healthy looking.
I’ve had a short haircut for many years. It’s quick and easy and looks good all day with no fussing.
A good cut is definitely the best tip I’ve encountered. I have thinning hair and it went all the way down my back. I was stressed about cutting it but once I did it definitely looked more voluminous because the hairstylist gave me a good cut. 🙂
My tip is to use conditioner every time you shampoo your hair.
Don’t wash your hair every day; it strips the hair of essential oils!
i like to use mousse to make my hair curly, go with what i have
I wear mine very short to minimize management
I have always liked – washing your hair with a baking soda/shampoo mix to get rid of hair spray buildup. It works great!
I like simple unique hair styles.
I have found a layered cut helps with my fine thinning hair

Because I have a bald spot on the left side of my head, I have changed my part to the right side of my head to cover the bald spot.
Don’t wear a ponytail too often.
Try using coconut oil on your hair.
I use a thickening mouse
My favorite hair styling tip is to not put my hair in a ponytail when wet as it will break my hair.
My favorite hair styling tip is to use dry shampoo at night that way you don’t have to wash your hair in the morning and it is much easier to style and makes your hair feel thicker.
I straighten my hair on 375 degrees so I don’t burn my hair.
If you have thin hair use thickening spray and mousse. Also I really like to use the hair fibers to sprinkle on if your hair is really thin like mine!
I blow dry my hair upside down and use a thickening mousse.
I like using a light oil to keep frizz away.
I don’t really like having to mess with my hair so my advice is keep it simple

thinning hair is my biggest problem
I definitely just need to keep it conditioned. I am always in a rush and never have the time to do it, but its REALLY hurting my hair. It looks dry and damaged! UGH!
I use hairspray to keep my hair style intact.
I like to sleep on rag curlers the old school way instead of using heat to curl my hair.
With my naturally curly hair, I like to air dry then use the hair dryer at the very end for lift.
My hair styling tip is to keep your hair style shorter if you have thinning hair!
Not to brush my curly hair, use my fingers to comb thru my wet hair.
My tip is don’t pull your hair tight.

Keep it nicely cut
You can avoid using a curling iron if you use a curling spray which automatically curls your wet hair by spraying it and wrapping it around your finger. Got2Be is my favorite curling spray.

As my hair has thinned out I’ve gone from a shag to a bob to a soon to be pixie.
I have thick hair and lots of it. Sometimes I just want to shave it off haha!
Every time I go to the hair salon they’re like, wow you have thick hair.
I liked your review of this product. I think the tips were great. I hope it helped with the part of your hair you were uncomfortable with. My hair is thinning too I think it does it with age.
My friend has problem with thinning hair on the sides of her head, I will have to show her this.
