Thank you to Megan for attending Disney Planes with her family on behalf of Raising Three Savvy Ladies. All thoughts and opinions are her own.
My husband, my 5-year-old son, and I went to an advance screening of Disney Planes 3D and loved it! This film from the World of Cars was highly anticipated in my house.
Planes is about a crop-duster plane who dreams of leaving the farm to compete in and win a race around the world. He has the drive and the heart, but he is afraid of flying too high. With the help of his friends including his mentor, Skipper, an old fighter plane, and some good karma, he just might achieve his dream.
My 5-year-old understood and appreciated a few lessons in perseverance and kindness (because what goes around, comes around). To him, it didn’t disappoint; he says he can’t wait for Planes 2!
My husband and I expected a little more, but thought it lacked the visual and writing genius of Cars and Cars 2. We hoped to see one or two recognizable Cars characters but didn’t see one. But what do we know? It’s a hit with the kids!
