Celebrate Hershey’s National S’mores Day, August 10 with a Yummy Giveaway

by Kerri on August 9, 2012

How will you celebrate National S’Mores Day on Friday,  August 10? In style, of course. Backyard fun as the sun goes down was how my savvy ladies and I enjoyed some S’Mores. Yummy!

We love S’mores.  In fact, it has become a tradition to get an evening treat of S’mores in Hershey’s Park as we are leaving.

Since 1927, Americans have gathered ‘round the campfire to enjoy S’mores, a classic treat combining
Hershey’s ® Milk Chocolate, graham crackers and toasted marshmallows. Now, Hershey’s is encouraging
families nationwide to create lasting memories at Camp BondfireTM on the Hershey’s Facebook page, an
interactive app where fans will discover new ways to “bond” around the campfire and create S’moresinspired
memories all summer long/

New S’mores themes, tips, and activities will be available weekly at
www.facebook.com/hersheys.

‘S’more’ Fun Facts:
• “S’more” originated from the combination of the words “Some More” as people could not get
enough of the classic combination of Hershey’s Milk Chocolate, crisp graham crackers and gooey
marshmallows.
• The first printed record of the S’mores recipe appeared in a Girl Scout handbook 85 years ago in
1927.
