Rapture Blister Burn will end July 1 at Playwrights Horizons and it is definitely a not-to-miss hit. Gina Gionfriddo has a star-studded cast that uses the backdrop of feminist ideals to try to figure out their lives. It was enjoyable and I liked how we heard opinions across generations. Catherine, played by Amy Brenneman, finds advice from her mother and her young student.
For a detailed synopsis and critique, visit Mama One To Three. She brings it all together brilliantly. I felt the same way. As a working mom, can we really have it all? I never took a course in Women’s Studies, but, in the end, it seems like there are times where that all needs to go out the door. Taking advice from Avery and her mother, Catherine tries to leave her ideals behind to get the man she wants. Alas, it was too late.
Rapture Blister Burn is now being extended until July 1 so you have plenty of time to go see it for yourself. For details and ticket information, visit Playwrights Horizons.
This mom of three would like to thank Playtime NYC for making it possible to attend an evening performance of Rapture, Blister, Burn.

Sounds really interesting. Now to find a way to get to the city!
Sounds like a great show – and you can’t beat having built-in child care! What a cool idea!
Sounds good, but I’m a ways away!
